Chengdu is the provincial capital of and the largest city in Sichuan Province, southwest China.
- There are more than 140 regional and international air routes to and from the city, including both passenger and freight routes.
- The annual passenger throughput of airlines is expected to reach 80 milion.
- The annual cargo and mail throughput is expected to reach 1 million tons.
Sichuan is the next international convention center
The CPC Sichuan Provincial Committee and the provincial government plan to build Chengdu into an international exhibition capital with global influence by 2025. This will help to build an important growth pole and a new power source for the development of the high-quality national exhibition industry, with plans to introduce further international projects and events that meet ICCA standards.
